EI development in leaders drives results at the Co-operative Bank of Kenya
The Co-operative Bank of Kenya is the third largest bank in Kenya, which is the largest economy in East Africa. The Bank is highly focused on customer excellence, and has a strong commitment to the training and development of its workforce, which is 5000 strong.
In a bid to bring its values to life, the Bank kicked off an emotional intelligence development program which is still ongoing. It started with the Leading with Emotional Intelligence program, the participants in which were first time, middle and senior managers. So far, 500 managers have gone through this program and results have already been recorded, with demonstrated increases in synergy, motivation, productivity and even profitability.
This program is led by Caroline Wamae, Learning and Development Manager, Co-Operative Bank of Kenya.
